El Caballo Registry - A few notes on it's formation:

This registry is being established in the best interests of all Australian & Asian Spanish horse owners, riders & breeders.

The aim is to supply a “Buy Australian” type Registry which does not funnel member's payments overseas. Rather it keeps annual fees in the country to support our economy, through jobs & new events. Thus showcase & grow the breed.

El Caballo Registry is free of Politics. Set-up wholly to regain the charter for which the AHAA was formed.
In brief :-
(a) maintain the pure & genetic diversity of the breed
(b) to educate, assist & instruct enthusiasts
(c) to promote & market
(d) to compile, print, publish & amend a registry, uninterrupted
(e) to publish & acknowledge Australian bred horses achievements
(f) establish & maintain relations with other societies, equally
(g) give support to agricultural shows, exhibitions, community based occasions
(h) initiate promotions & hold demonstrations for the breed & it’s derivatives
(i) to assist in the purchase & / or sale of horses
(j) to do all things necessary for the furtherance of the breed i.e. (k) & (l)
(k) maintain the free flow of information between members
(l) include all derivatives of the Spanish horse, forming new sections to the registry


The underlying aim is to welcome without prejudice, each & every enthusiast of the Spanish Andalusian, in all its Derived forms. To raise stock currently treated with indifference to a classification befitting it's Iberian heritage. And to ensure technology is used in identifying individuals correctly, so owners & breeders are protected. This will be achieved through the use of a professional studbook keeping agency, avoiding the bias which comes when one has a vested interest.

El Caballo shall also facilitating a sales match-making service through the 100% successful “Andalusian Australia” – giving all participants an equal opportunity to market to the world through new & established avenues.
