An ideal mare for those wishing to produce horses with extraordinary stamina, flamboyant movement, sound & robust conformation. She is not the classical Saddlebred type herself ... Better described as being like an elegant QH. She has a short dishy head, is well muscled across the chest & has a big apple bum. Features difficult to find amongst the modern purebred breeding stock, in Australia & ideal for producing National Show Horses.
Cassie is also quite unique in her colour, not exactly Palomino, although this is all either registry will recognise her as. Depending on the seasonal effects of pasture her colour can vary from Cream with dapples to a light Yellow-Gold with "Dark Feature Dapples" & lower legs with near Liver Chestnut points. She has a Light Silver Grey mane & tail and bright Amber eyes.
Her progeny with us, have all been crossbreds. And she has thrown to the American Saddlebred in type, so much so each one could be mistaken as purebred. All have inherited a form of her unusual Taffy markers, making them very attractive to anyone interested in colourful horses with a Red genetic base. To date they have been suited to endurance riding & dressage, but they also have the talent to showjump, if desired. They are bold babies with great character & the work ethic we all desire.
As you can see from the notation on her photos, Wildmoor Gold Cascade was contracted to a layby purchase earlier this year. Unfortunately the Queensland buyer defaulted due to serious family problems, which had to take priority. This means that once again she has not been bred in 2011. This is an invaluable broodmare, that is going to waste in the paddock. Please enquire if you are looking to produce horses that have a presence you cannot ignore.
Price - was $4,000 empty or $6,000 in foal but due to our health problems, we did not breed her this year. So she is now reduced to $3,250 for a quick sale prior to winter. Buy now so you can plan what stallion she visits in 2012.
